"Review: Reverie"

By John PackwoodBristol Post

AT THE first performance in November the local critic said "Brendan Coyle (narrator) managed to show the charm of this complicated gifted man whilst the elegant, totally absorbed Lucy Parham (piano) brought to life all the pieces so we could feel his real power."...

The narrative takes the form of a personal journal, following Debussy from his initial success in Rome in 1885 to his untimely death in Paris in 1918.

  • Written to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Claude Debussy.

  • The Almeida performance of  Sunday, 10 February 2013 was a fundraising effort to support the theatre.
